How Is This a Bad Thing?

Sunday Buffet (Yr. 1, Ep. 15)

‘Good Neighbor, Bad Citizen’ is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber: https://goodneighborbadcitizen.substack.com/

The Omelet Station asks us to consider that some actions are wrong if they detract from our good purpose, even if they seem not so bad in isolation.

As seen in other topics, like the anniversary this month of the #COVIDHoax in the U.S. and the continuing support for warmongering U.S. foreign policy, we find many people still cheering for awful behavior that looks heroic from a particular tribal lens.

As Lent begins, let’s examine our motives and take inventory of our attitudes and intentions. I’ll be doing so for myself, and I encourage anyone else to take stock of their own ethics.

Enjoy the show! Remember to Like, Rate, and Comment to help others find my work. Subscribe at Substack for extra access, and please consider a paid subscription to help me produce more articles and podcasts (and to receive bonus content!) 😎
