I took ADHD medication exactly twice, as part of a medical study, and couldn't believe we give it to children. Kids with ADHD can be a little annoying, but so can kids in general. Boys especially need to be running through the woods hitting each other with sticks, and NO child is wired to sit quietly all day.
I'm glad you only took it twice and were able to revoke consent to being on it long-term. Most kids aren't given such an option, and their parents are incentivized to put them on the meds.
It seems ADHD meds can dampen creativity. Did you find that your creative energies weren't what they usually are when you were on the meds for the study?
No, but it felt like being on meth. I couldn't sleep or eat. And I ran out of things to read and draw while I was locked up at the research facility haha.
I network with people by doing as much as I can, really. I give genuine compliments, share and promote work, donate a little when I can and give shout outs and email shares. I really enjoy helping others as we all succeed when we do this.
I enjoy people being their authentic selves and I like to support them in their efforts.
I notice and appreciate your willingness to interact here! I wish more folks engaged, but I'm grateful for those who are more introverted but still read and listen quietly, too. Thanks for the Restack on this episode 😎
I'm trying to refine my delivery of the information -- which likely encompasses tone and purpose -- each episode. I think I'm getting better here and there. It's good to get the feedback from someone else, especially someone who does a lot of presenting of information in podcast format yourself. Thanks, Adam!

I also picked fights with a lot more glee

Same here and your welcome.
This episode was particularly good. I really liked your tone and your purpose, throughout.
Kudos!
