Agree 100%. I have avoided Doctors and all pharmaceuticals for many years. Great technology for trauma, although I view hospitals as dangerous places. I have suffered some accidents, but on the whole have managed to take care of them myself with good results, and still active and fit at 80.
You're practicing good self-care, and your life is the proof of it! I hope I can keep doing the responsible track for as long as you've been able to maintain it 😎
We now have the internet to research our own health problems and find natural supplements and cures for any issues that come up. And this despite efforts to suppress this vital information. I have saved a tremendous amount of money over the last fifty or sixty years and have not failed to address whatever came up health wise so I know it is possible. Self sufficiency is important and taking responsibility for one's own health and finances is at the top of that list. I don't have health insurance since most programs only pay for sick care and toxic medicines. I don't have medicare since I refused to use the SSN for the last 23 years since the 911 betrayal and didn't apply for SS "benefits." I know the source and real agenda of that ponzi scheme. I have been able to make my own living with my own labor as a stone mason, handyman and wood worker for cash only.
Reading your story here prompted me to see if you had your own Substack where you post more of your thoughts. I see you've taken to posting long-form articles directly from your user profile since late March: https://xandara.substack.com/profile/posts
Subscribed and looking forward to reading your articles!

Thank you Domenic, that's an honor. I have neglected my substack for awhile and hope to start writing some more essays before too long.
I did spend a lot of time with the local carnivals one summer In the early 90s
Did you work for the carnival? I had a gig at a carnival once, playing a few hours of music one night.
I worked a few games. We, myself and two of my friends, thought it would be an interesting way to spend summer.
